Investors picked up airline stocks on hopes that falling oil prices will bring some cost relief. The Economic Times said InterGlobe was one of the session’s top gainers among crude-sensitive names as airlines, OMCs, tyre makers and paint stocks all saw buying on cheaper energy bets. The stock ended at ₹4,545.70 on the NSE, up ₹340.70, or 8.10%, while the BSE quote stood at ₹4,545.30, up 8.05%; market capitalisation was listed at about ₹25,448.63 crore. Friday’s NSE range was ₹4,253.50 to ₹4,569.00, placing the stock close to its 52-week high of ₹4,722.00.
